How scoring works

A score is an automated comparison estimate, not a guarantee that a machine, listing, price, or seller is reliable.

Score inputs

The current model starts with delivered price per installed gigabyte of RAM. It applies bounded adjustments for installed RAM capacity, CPU generation, an unknown RAM generation, and trust warning flags. Scores are limited to 0-100. Machines need at least 32 GB of detected installed RAM and must clear trust filters and the display threshold.

Trust filters

Before scoring, HiRAM checks available signals including listing format, seller history, return policy, listing age, condition, photos, hardware-detail consistency, and parsing confidence. Some issues exclude a listing; less severe uncertainty may reduce its score.

Price calculations

Delivered price means listed item price plus listed shipping when available. Taxes and other charges are not included unless expressly shown. Estimated standalone RAM value may appear as context but does not drive ranking.

Limitations

Scores rely on marketplace and seller-provided information plus automated parsing. Data can be stale, incomplete, ambiguous, or incorrect. A high score does not verify compatibility, condition, authenticity, performance, seller conduct, or fitness for your workload. Verify every important detail before buying.
